Day 1

Dec 3 2013

Day #1 for us...and our first real wintery day.

Low angle sun and crisp cold temps made for a few shots in town and on the drive up to the hill. I love these kind of days.

Whitewater...55cm of fresh pow in two days, -15C and sunny-ish.

Drop a car at the lower lot.

After breaking our tow-strap trying to pull some eager knuckle-draggers toyota out, we finally get underway.

Pete's got the Zappa on his boom-box and thus takes a wrong turn on the skin up which puts us breaking trail in knee-deep wind blown snow all the way up Diamond drill.

A couple beers at the top of Glory and the sun breaks through! Cries of frozen toes and fingers persuade us to move. So we do.

Not bad for a first run of the season.

Rock and Roll Bingo at the pub.

Backyard berries = big snow year

move yer truck mate!

First turn off the Glory, first frame skiing I shot.

Croozie pow turns under an empty chair

Shell hittin' the mark...thank you!

empty

Ya, I got zee grab!...no ones there to watch

Holding...

Held it!

and a few for me...one handed turns are better than none

some beauty light on the drive down

home sweet home....what a day!
